CANINE HIP DYSPLASIA (C.H.D) |
The femur has a head that fits into the glenoid cavity of the pelvis. This femur head is maintained by way of a fibrous capsule all around the articulation joint by the muscles of the region (glutei, among others) and by a ligament called ligament of the head, which connects at the bottom of the joint cavity.

GASTRIC DILATATION/VOLVULUS (GDV) |
GDV is an extremely serious condition and should be considered as a life-threatening emergency when it occurs. Knowing the symptoms can save the dog’s life. Due sometimes to unknown reasons, the stomach fills up with gas and/or fluid and dilates abnormally. The stomach can occupy nearly the entire abdomen, putting pressure on the other organs and diaphragm.

CANINE PIROPLASMOSIS |
This is one of the most common diseases in dogs, which still kills many dogs each year. It is caused by a one-celled parasite in the blood transmitted by a tick bite. The parasite destroys red blood cells, causing anaemia and liver and loin intoxication due to the accumulation of destroyed red blood cell waste.

CARRE’S DISEASE |
Carre’s disease (or Canine Distemper) is caused by a paramyxovirus that is highly contagious and closely related to the measles virus, mainly affecting canids (dogs, foxes, etc.) and mustelids (ferrets, weasels, etc.). This virus (Canine Distemper Virus, CDV) is not resistant outdoors and spreads through contact with infected dogs or aerosol droplets, as all bodily secretions have viral particles.
